Manual: Settings-Exams

Get Started |Calendar |Locations

Feature=ExamsFeature permits the upload and display of photos in contributor chosen groupings. The characteristics of the Exam can be configured via Setting=Exam, as follows:

Instructor
Establishes whether you would like to prompt the Exam taker to associate completed Exams with an individual Instructor (False) or not (True).

Default is False

USSFGrades
If eligibility for an Exam requires a specific USSF Grade, this Option specifies which USSF Grades are eligible for conditional qualification. The operand is a list of numeric USSF Grades, separated by a plus sign, as USSFGrades=>5+6+7+8+9 and MUST be accompanied by backing Users' table entries (coordinate this with the RidgeStar Account Representative before using this Option).

Default is no USSFGrades (essentially, an unspecified Option).

Options

Note that the following are operational alternatives that are specified in the Exam definition's Options data field (use Manage-Exams to specify them in an {option}=>{value}, ... syntax):

Status[{value}]
Specifies the Status value that an ExamAnswer will be set to after the internal logic to set the Status has been applied. The Grade action will set the following Status values:
  • Pass is set when the number of correct Answers produces a percentage computation that exceeds the Passing Score
  • Fail is set when the number of correct Answers produces a percentage less than the Passing Score

A "Fail" will require that an authorized User (Administrator, Instructor, etc.) become involved to permit the Exam taker to re-take the Exam (by either deleting the ExamAnswer or changing it to Status=Pending to permit the Exam taker to restart the Exam with the current set of answers).

An alternative such as Status[Fail]=>Pending will permit the Exam taker to restart the Exam immediately (to permit him/her to continue to take the Exam until Status=Pass is acheved)
