Usage of small Symbols or graphical elements to represent a characteristic or present an action has expanded, as the User Interface to websites has expanded over the years. RidgeStar itself (as a web developer) utilizes these symbols to represent a wide variety of actions or functions available on Client sites.
The following Sprites and Symbols are examples of this unique form of communication. For RidgeStar clients using the Text Format mechanism, these Sprites and Symbols can be inserted into your communications using the following syntax:
where "name" is available as popup text (move your mouse over the desired symbol and pause). For example, to put a smile into your communications, type "[:smile]".
The Sprites (regardless of display mechanism) are all 16x16 pixels. Move your mouse over the top of the Sprite and pause to see it's Name.
The Symbols that are not processed as Sprites have a wide variety of pixel resolutions, as shown below:
