Manual: Settings

Many of the configurable aspects of the Site can be controlled by assigning a value or a set of values to a Setting within the Options table.

Each "Setting" has a precise keyword "Name" and a Data value that can be a single numeric/character value or might be a series of data values separated by commas. The meaning and purpose of each Setting is defined in the following pages, grouped by their general function and Keyword value.

While individual Site Settings can vary from Site to Site, the following general groupings apply (and the Setting name will contain the identified character string):

Audit: Describes the Audit "Points" in a RidgeStar site that can be activated (when Feature=Audit is available)
Availability: Represents the sentence posing the Availability question (usually configured via Administrator: Database-Availability)
BulkLoad: Describes the customizable Settings available that impacts the Bulk Load mechanism
Calendar: Describes the customizable Settings available when Feature=Calendar is producing a Month-At-A-Glance summary of calendar events
Chapter...: Settings containing Chapter specific identifying information
GeoCode: Configure the Google Maps Version 3 API for encoding of Latitude and Longitude and map generation
MinorAuthorization: Configuration associated with the generation of the Parent/School Authorization for minor Workers
PageHeader: Valid operand values for the PageHeader, which configures the symbols that are displayed in the upper right corner of the page when Feature=PageHeader is in effect.
Password...: Contains value settings indicating to the site how to manage the User's password.
Question...: Represents the sentence posing the Reset Password Question (usually configured via Administrator: Database-Questions)
Reset...: Contains value settings configuring the operational aspects of the site with respect to Password Reset logic
Timeout: Contains value settings configuring the operational aspects of the site and client site Session Timeout processing
SoapClients: Define the authorized sites by IP Address that are authorized to contact the SoapServer
SoapServer: Specify operational characteristics of a Site operating as a SOAP/XML Server
