How to determine what Segments your Site needs

Think in terms of the different Roles within your Chapter and pinpoint your expectations for these various Chapter participants. The distinct usage permissions of each Role within your Chapter will define the Segments your Site requires. For example, you may want to include Segments for Assignors, Referees, and Administrators.

Each UserUser can interact with the Site in any combination of the Roles you define. For example, a User can be a Referee, an Assignor, and an Officer, all at the same time. Thus, he or she could logon to access the Referee, Assignor, and Officer Segments, but not the Administrator or other non-public Segments.
