Reference: Notices-New Offices15 July 2003Today, North Ridge Software, Inc. (RidgeStar's parent organization) has announced it's intention to relocate the physical offices containing all business operations from Kirkland, Washington to the Fairhaven Our relocation is motivated primarily by the changing nature of the Puget Sound traffic (in general) and, most significantly, by the natural expiration of our office space lease. Kirkland has been good to us and we are thankful for the time we spent here, but it's simply time for a new adventure. We have selected Bellingham for it's slower pace (and lower traffic densities), as well as it's progressive approach to providing a healthy environment for technically oriented business. We believe it will be a move beneficial to the RidgeStar personnel and are hopeful it will not disrupt any current client's use of related RidgeStar services. Our new business address will be:
Of course, ALL the Email addresses you are used to (Staff@RidgeStar.com, etc.) will continue to work unchanged (ah...the beauty of Email, once again) and it is our intent that service to our clients during this transition will continue uninterrupted. The ScheduleWe will be actively establishing the physical office in Bellingham starting 1 August 2003 and will phase in migration of all existing Internet Services (Sites, Mail Servers, etc.) to the new location starting at the end of August to be completed by the end of September 2003. All Linux sites should migrate smoothly with approximately a 5 minute "outage" while the Site is moved from a Kirkland Server to a Bellingham Server. We do plan to migrate each site at it's respective "down time" (slow period) to minimize disruption. The Mail Servers AND any Site remaining on one of the NT Servers will have a more difficult transition, but we believe this will be accomplished early on a Sunday morning and should take approximately 3 hours. Watch the RidgeStar Site's What's New? for an announcement for when this transition will actually occur. If all goes as planned, about the only change you'll see is the IP Address for your Site will change. Everything else should continue to operate as if we were still in Kirkland. Questions? If you have any questions not addressed here or would prefer to migrate your Site to a different Service Provider that will remain closer to the Puget Sound region directly, please contact your Account Representative and they'll be happy to assist you however possible. We remain committed to servicing your requirements in the best way possible, even if that means helping you migrate your site to a different Service Provider. See you in Fairhaven!! | |||
